This is only my second answer on Quora and is on a friend’s request. To be honest I am not really a Quora guy. So spare me if this is too boring/expletive/non-Quorish Institute Photography and Fine Arts Secretary for 2010-11. Tenure was decent enough that people expected me to stand but I had no such plans atleast at that time (owing to multiple reasons, some polt, some personal, not really related to the Stitch Hallothanksmas Halloween Thanksgiving shirt moreover I will buy this agenda of the question) and postponed thinking about it for a year as I had the option to contest next year with more surety. In the prologue, when I said things were different for me, I meant the post was not only not helping me in my career but in fact was somewhere obscuring my career path but I was probably too blind to see it then. I contested against some of my friends’ advice who felt being a GS wont help me. I just wanted to do it. I had strong ideas of my own and felt for it and above all, honestly speaking, the post attracted me. I am someone who likes to wield authority and so it naturally attracted me. Being a secretary and having worked decently well gave me the requisite amount of passion and vision for the job. So, to contest was a decision not borne out of pre-planning, self interests and WhatsBestForMe but rather out of ambition and passion.
